As part of the European Heritage Day, the Typhlological Museum created a virtual project Koraž+. The European Heritage Days event will take place during September and October 2021 with a common theme of Heritage for All. The goal of this year's event is to encourage togetherness, cooperation, inclusion, and equal opportunities for all social groups.
The Koraž+ project is intended for visitors of digital platforms and is related to the actual exhibition of collages Koraž: markings in bark by academic artist Sonja Cikač-Kovačić. This exhibition is indirectly concerned with the preservation of trees and the development of attitudes towards nature, and it is possible to visit it at the Museum until the beginning of October 2021.
The virtual project Koraž+ is its extension and is based on the work of participants in summer workshops in the Home for the Elderly Villa Brezovica. During these workshops, under the guidance of sculptor Marina Bauer, four themes related to trees were artistically interpreted - Bark, Leaves, Trunk Growth, and Branches and Roots. Participants used techniques appropriate for their abilities and skills and created interesting works that motivated the creation of the virtual project Koraž+. One part of it is intended for the elderly, and the other for all other interested users. The project is available on social networks and the website of the Typhlological Museum.
