We are playing!

On 26 and 27 June 2020, the Typhlological Museum, together with several other museums and galleries, visited the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum. The program that took place was titled Museums in a Museum, and it was designed at the Nikola Tesla Technical Museum with the aim of hosting museums that were damaged in the earthquake. The authors of the concept are Katarina Ivanišin Kardum and Marijo Zrna, and the idea was for all Zagreb museums that were damaged and unable to work with visitors due to the earthquake to join forces and to make a joint action in the week after school ends, from 23 to 26 June 2020.

Although our museum did not suffer major damage, we participated in the program and thus lent our support to all colleagues who work in novel circumstances and create new and creative programs in them.

About the workshop:

We are playing! We all love to play board games. When playing, we need to "follow" a teammate and his moves in the game. But how do people who can't see play, how do they play chutes and ladders and tic-tac-toe? We showed this in a workshop where blindfolded visitors played these and other board games. The aim of this workshop was to introduce young people to board games for the blind, thus sensitizing and acquainting the public with the possibilities of people with disabilities. We played together, tic-tac-toeing all the way.
