One of the ways to maintain sustainability is within the area of the protection of human rights and the relation increase in empathy towards vulnerable groups. Compassion can be developed and enhanced if we focus our attention to social values, if we educate based on the principles of rightness and responsibility to all the members of the community, if we build in positive attitudes into knowledge.

Through displayed work, we wish to showcase the didactic procedure that follows the curriculum in a new way, based on numerous years of working with children with impaired vision, established on a friendly relationship and mutual trust between students and teachers, as well as on the dedication to the profession.

A blind child gets to know and builds art through exploring space, with the aid of the familiar, the understandable – the child’s body that moves around the space – and afterwards by patiently introducing shapes, surfaces, colors, dots and lines, building a wholesome art expression.
