Exhibition Koraž: signs in the bark

1 June, 2021 – 31 August, 2021

Authors of the exhibition: Ž. Sušić, Ž. Vujić and graduate students of museology and heritage management at the Faculty of Philosophy in Zagreb

The exhibition Koraž: markings in bark has been available to visitors at the Typhlological Museum since the beginning of June. Guided by the idea that talking to nature requires feelings and not the senses, the authors present collages by academic artist Sonja Cikač-Kovačić, who expressed her love for nature, especially trees.

The exhibition shows a selection from the cycle of works created in the period from 2010 to 2018 and testifies to how the artist coped with her vision impairment over the years and found collage as a technique that can perfectly record living but also felled trees as she wishes. In addition, the exhibition is the result of joint work of current and future museologists who wanted to show their creative abilities and emphasize how nature is important to each of us and we should notice, preserve, and appreciate it.
