The exhibition “Touch and Feel” was opened at the Typhlological Museum on 29 April 2025 at 5 p.m. The exhibition was created in collaboration with the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection from Novi Sad. This unique cultural event enables the experience of art through touch.
Works by artists from the permanent collection in the Pavle Beljanski Memorial Collection – Sreten Stojanović, Risto Stijović, Mihajlo Tomić, Vlaho Bukovac, Milan Konjović, Milica Zorić, Sava Šumanović, and Mališa Glišić – are presented as tactile representations and audio descriptions. Paintings are presented by means of relief diagrams and sculptures by means of full-size plaster casts.
Furthermore, visitors will have opportunity to browse through a new monograph by Igor Zidić titled “Vlaho Bukovac (1855–1922)”, also part of the exhibition.
Audio descriptions are accessible via QR code or MP3 devices.
This exhibition is not intended merely for people with visual impairment but for anyone who wishes to explore art from a different perspective: through touch, hearing, and personal curiosity.
The exhibition is open until 25 May 2025.
