Vlado Martek

05.03.2015 - 26.03.2015

Lokacija: Typhlological Museum

Autor: Željko Kipke, Nina Sivec

Within the READ THE VISUAL project, contemporary art will be adapted to the part of the population whose perception is deprived of certain features of experiencing the world and, thus, art.

The first exhibition presents post-conceptual artist, poet, writer and philosopher Vlado Martek, his works and anti-works, agitations and assemblages... He calls himself a pre-poet, communicates in public spaces, on the street, and speaks to a wide audience. Martek's “consciously infantile” artistic touch, his visual speech, adjusts to the population deprived of visual perceptions by means of various adaptations such as auditory descriptions, film narration, relief print and Braille. Art, which in Martek’s interpretation has no alternative, is translated to the wider population to bring it closer to more inscrutable avant-garde art.
